  • Finished the last bottle of these. The wine has taken on a golden-tawny color as it's aged. Excellent bottle, clearly on the start of a downslope, but stunningly delicious. Overall peach and apricot flavors, good nose. Just a hint of oxidation that doesn't detract from the overall impression. Served tonight with a lemon-chicken-pasta dish which it complemented well. Sorry that I don't have more of these!

  • This rating is based on the second day. The first day review is shown below. But after being gassed overnight, the wine blossomed. Wonderful viognier nose and flavors came out. No signs of aging. Just a fully integrated, balanced wine. D loved it <smile>.

  • This is my rating. D would have had it somewhat lower. I liked the peach-apricot nuances that came through. D thought that they were too cloying for the roast chicken dinner. A wine critic noted that there was a lot of minerality in this; we didn't find it that way at all.

I thought this was a classic voignier, well balanced and showing better than the last time we popped a bottle.

  • Mineral in nose and a hint of bitter orange to go with the floral notes. Worked with salmon dinner. I was a little disappointed in the bottle. Too old?
