Medium full body with light garnet on the edges. Fragrances of dark berries, charred oak and a bit of manure. Palate is fleshy, tannins are there but not over the top. Quite enjoyable and with the semblance of pedigree, but with some rough on the edges.
Wow!!! Stunning Second. Why pay for the first unless you plan to sip it in 30 years? Every element of this "Bordeaux Blend" is pronounced in full. Tannins perhaps a bit too much, but excellent. Fruit perfect. It will lay down another decade or so. One of the best seconds going!
Much better on day 2. At first this had some smokiness and game notes that were really predominate. On day 2 this blossomed into crushed herbs, flowers, and red and dark fruits. Nice entry level wine from Ornellaia.
Coffee, gooseberry, vanilla, new oak, flower perfume and earth notes. Concentrated, powerful and dense with a rich long finish. This is well done and balanced. Fine powdery tannin with lead and plumb fruit. Great now but this should gain with bottle age. Profile like a young Pauillac, but not a Pauillac. Rewards for those that are patient.
