This was the third of my summer wine search. This was a very nice discovery. I served it cool. Nice nose of rasberry, strawberry but not jammy. Taste was low keyed, not tannic at all, very refreshing, and a nice clean finish. Perfect for warm weather patio dining. My wife commented that it was like a very rich rose. I would agree. I will buy more.

Sponsored tasting at Alois Lageder’s “Ansitz Löwengang”: The wine was bottled only one month ago, so it had probably not fully settled from bottling yet. On the nose the wine was reductive at first, but the awkward smell blew off after a few minutes, giving way to young red fruits, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, and a touch of sulphur. On the palate the wine was light-bodied, with red fruit flavours, cherry, strawberry, high acidity and medium length.
