Very rich and buttery, like a good Meursault. However it was a touch unbalanced, with quite a MLF nose to it. Better after 40 minutes of air and at a warmer temperature. I think another year or two is needed.
Absolutely amazing QPR. As good as any American chard at twice the price. Nose is restrained, some lemon curd and indistinct citrus rind, but not much else. In the mouth it is a fruit smoothie of apricot, pear, orange with plenty of rind. Somehow it's a very satisfying mix with a long finish. Wish I had more
What a difference (almost) a year makes: loved this wine when I drank it in Buenos Aires but this bottle didn't hit the same heights; reminded me of viognier - creamy, full palate and lowish acidity that rendered it a little ponderous.
