Nose is all cherry and spices, faint tobacco, touch of cedar. Palate is fleshy up front, thinning into the finish, more cherry and a leather touch with a cooling twist of menthol throughout and perky acidity. 12% alc which really shows as you near the end of the bottle feeling fine. Held on for a couple hours during dinner before beginning to fade. Made by MaryAnn Graf under the tutelage of Andre Tchelistcheff.

Taste at Elysian. Classic aged California qualities - dark cherry, fruit driven cigar box, and lots of leather. Some nice spice. Mid palate was fading but the finish still had nice life and acidity. I believe this is still showing pretty well for a for a 35+ year old wine. The fruit is fading, but there's plenty of enjoyment left.

Great color since storage could have been an issue. Nice nose and a short to moderate finish with some fruit at the end
