Slow-O 3 hours, and ready to go. Surprised at how approachable this was. Further surprised that only a tiny slice of candied fruit and oak was in play - very much a welcome surprise. Medium bodied, fine tannins, clean. A healthy amount of acidity kept this well lifted, interesting and, at times, somewhat elegant. Nothing high-toned or gratuitous, just an enjoyable wine that seemed to be just as comfortable with food as it was on its own. 14,2% (fully resolved), drink thru 2018. recommended
