Somewhat boozy & raw immediately upon opening. Recommend a decant if you can. A ripe example with focused structure for a southern Rhone styled red. More CdP than CdR that can easily handle more time in the bottle.
This wine has really come into its own since I last tried and reviewed it a bit over two years ago. Red and blue fruits on the nose with some noticeable funk. On the palate, it's a rich and somewhat savory blend that has a great mouth-feel and a smooth and pleasing finish. In it's drinking window now, but no need to rush to drink everything soon.
