  • Flight 4, Portugal, Wine 6 (blind): The wine was dark purple in colour and threw fine sediment. It offered an expressive nose of red and dark fruit, raspberry, cherry, blackberry, some cocoa and intense but well-integrated oak on the nose. On the flavourful palate the medium- to full-bodied wine showed sweet fruit, raspberry, cherry, blackberry and well integrated oak (mocha, spices), paired with medium-plus acidity, medium-plus ripe, well-integrated tannin, a creamy mouthfeel and very good length. A concentrated, well-balanced, delicious wine. Drink now and over the next five or six years.
