Wow, I found the perfect match for Indian food! (Too bad I'm eating a salmon croquette, but it works there too). This is an unexpectedly beautiful wine, all fragrant white flowers, tropical notes, oranges and lemons. It looks viscous but is medium-full bodied and elegant despite somewhat of a punch. A bit of a tasting conundrum for me; is it a big wine or a graceful wine? Whatever it is, I need to stop passing on the Bedrock Blanc offerings.
Even on a cold Midwest night, this was an enjoyable wine. Lush tropical nose, unmistakable Gewurtz on the palate but not overbearing, medium finish. May have inadvertently served too cold but it blossomed after a minute or 2 in the glass. Paired well with mild cheeses before dinner and the entre, Chicken Florentine.
