  Medium tawny colour. Prominent tertiary notes of leather, earth & smoke. Surprisingly for it age, there’s still plenty of primary aromas of violet and blackcurrant. Fresher also on the palate than expected. Age-smoothed tannins. Long length. A real treat from this second-growth Chateau from a great vintage!

  Ein schöner klassischer Bordeaux.. johannisbeere, cassis, brombeere, Bleistiftspitzete, Tabak. Richtig gut zum Trinken derzeit, wenn auch keine Bombe und bissl ruppige Tannin

  Erste von vier Flaschen. Füllstand: Base of neck- into neck.
  Farbe: intakt. Leichter Wasserrand. Mittelrot. Minmale, bräunliche Farbnuancen. Typische Farbe für einen 15 - 20 Jahre alten Bordeaux.
  Typischer Margaux und typischer 1989er. Walnuss. Herbstliche Aromen. Rote Johannisbeere im Hintergrund. Gut eingebundene Säure, die nachdem die Flasche drei Stunden geöffnet war immer deutlicher in den Vordergrund tritt. Der Wein ist noch voll intakt aber gewiss am Ende seines Höhepunktes. Nach etwa drei Stunden, immer wieder aus der Flasche nach geschenkt, merkt man, dass der Wein langsam aber stetig beginnt abzubauen. Eher zum Essen als pur. Entenbrust oder ein Steak oder noch besser Lamm?
  Schöner Margaux, guter Chateau Lascombes. Zuverlässig und gut aber nicht groß. Zu dieser Zeit wäre dieses Chateau wohl eher als 4em Grand Cru Classé eingestuft worden.
  Trinken: 1994-2021. Höhepunkt: 1997-2018.
  Am heutigen Tage wurden zwei Flaschen dieses Weines bei ebay für 67 Euro + Versandkosten versteigert. Dies war der Anlass zum ersten Mal eine Flasche aus meinen eigenen Beständen zu probieren.
  Ca. 90 Punkte.
  Auch nach mehreren Tagen noch voll da! Bravo. Daher eher 91 als 90 Punkte!
