Crisp citrus, delicate and balanced sweetness, with rounded mouth feel. This is what good white wine is made of. Packs big flavour. A stunning Sauv Blanc that beats the pants off that watery Malborough rubbish.

Tasmania Wineries Jan-12 (2) - Tamar Valley; 1/15/2012-1/19/2012 (Tasmania): {screwcap, 12%, A$25} Classy nose of authentic but not unripe asparagus. A dry, high-acid palate follows, with essence of gooseberry flavours. Powerful, almost pungent, rather in your face. A bit polarising, although I enjoyed it as much as any unoaked SB. Drink soon.
