Color: light straw. Nose: Citrus, floral, a bit tropical, slate and creamy. Shows better after three days in the fridge, which was unplanned, probably a short decant is enough. Palate: quite sweet, unfortunately very little acidity which is mainly present in the finish but definitely not enough to balance the sweetness, a bit disappointing.

Outstanding kabinet - rich nose (floral and creamy), rich dense palate (apricot, apple, cream), broad albeit simple ripe flavours with breadth and decent and refreshingly acidic finish. This will age another decade with ease and is worth seeking out. 92-93pts

Lunch with Lara Haag (Imperial Treasure Great World City): Coming from 2011, this nose had a lot more going on compared to the 2019 GG. Creamy, Casis, floral, full body on the palate with touch of asparagus. From a warmer vintage, this is drinking beautifully now.

About as good a Kabinett as I imagine can be produced from the Juffer (as opposed to Juffer-Sonnenuhr). Still with greenish hints in the color and no advancement toward straw. Slate minerality in the nose and mouth with lightness on palate, and sugar very well balanced by the 2011 round acidity. APN 5 12. Cellared since original release.

Could maybe be better with a touch more acidity, but still a real success.
