  200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Encore bottle at the end. Cloudy color. Wow nose here right of the bat with sour cherry, cured meat, sweet spices. Another of these as good as it gets wine.

  ROMANEE-CONTI (WINETIP - MILANO): Aranciato sottile, quasi ramato. Polvere di caffé in spray, verdure bollite, quasi candite. Poi un senso di frutto che nessuno ha saputo descrivere, puro come solo gli angeli riescono a essere. Regna un senso di ovatta, quasi di silenzio, tanto è pulito e scindibile in ogni suo impulso.
  Non c' è nessuno spiraglio di freschezza speziata, nè di raspi che ricordi i vini precedenti. Ha un profilo aromatico tutto suo e unico nella serata.
  La bocca ricorda la lanolina, la liquirizia dolce e lo zucchero di canna, è una specie di tisana ricostituente che rilassa e rende felici.
  Sensualità virginea emolliente e fluttuante, non c' è traccia di tannino nell' accezione terrena che conosciamo. E' semplicemente il liquido più elegante che abbia mai portato alla bocca.
  
  p.s. "solo " 95 punti perchè credo che 10 anni fa fosse ancora più buono

  Barbecue with friends and a humble winemaker (Somewhere Downtown!): This is getting better and better, bottle after bottle. The nose that I have been looking for. Damp earth, freshly cut truffles, cinnamon, clove, coriander all explode from the glass. Hints of freshly steeped tea, raw tobacco, and sour cherries. I don't even care what it tastes like at this point. My olfactory senses are going crazy. Finally on the palate is a light and delicate wine with fresh acidity. Some of the tea characteristic comes back on the palate with some of the warm spices as well. The finish lasts forever, allowing me to savor every last sip. This is a great bottle.
