  Red Cherry fruit, some dark fruits too, spice and mineral. Some fine tannins in the background but not as big or tannic as I expected. We had this with our pepperoni and sausage pizza and it was a very good pairing. Perhaps better with another year of bottle age? I do like the Mauritson Wines. We paid $22 on close-out: great QPR for that price point. (I think it is $50 retail and $35-40 discounted).
