Good village Burgundy, not getting better, drink up - still enough fruit left, tannins are already smoothed out quite a bit. But still good balance at the moment.

Off the list at le diplomate in dc. Drank like a decent/simple regional wine, but on the fruity and new worldly side of things. Didn't see any Volnay in this. Would have been happy paying $30-35 for this (in a restaurant), but $88 was highway robbery (for the experience).

(Langton's Tasting, May 2013) Softly luscious, with rose, lilac and raspberry. Fresh morello cherries and funk. Light, feminine palate, soft, with (raspberry) aeroplane jelly, young leather, with some green stem. Sexy structure.

Tried this with the 2009. The 2010 was much better. Very perfumed and focused nose of red fruits and violets. The palate needs a few years to integrate. Structured high acidity and medium tannin and a touch of oak on the finish.

Langton's Cellar Club May 2013 (Roof Terrace Australian Museum): leather, slight spice, red currant and cherry, elegant, balanced fruit and spice accompanied by fine silky tannin on the long finish. A bit simple, perhaps, but I rather like it.
