  • From tonight's objective POV, this is a rather acidic Chianti with ample cherries and high acids. Tannins are M and the wine finishes with a touch of delicious bitterness, but short.

    Wife: 80p.
    Not our taste tonight.
It performed sooo much better in the makers cellars :-)
If you have some, keep for a few more years. This is just awkward...

  • Non-blind. Had from tasting-btl at the premises.
    Impression: Approaching excellent.
    90% Sangiovese 10% Merlot
This wine is judged as the serious wine it is, NOT as a Chianti.

Dark red with rich, dark, brooding, no-nonsense nose.
In the mouth it is a much different animal than what comes to mind when you think of 'Chianti'. This is a serious wine, devoid of happy summery smiles and cherry-expression-contest.
Looking forward to our btl in ~2015-16.
