One of my very first experiences with Viognier was this wine about 8 or so years ago. I held on to it, just for sentimental reasons.....I'm killing it tonight. This has always been a dry style Viognier, with beautiful florals. It is definitely dry still, lot as mineral yeastiness...almost like Champagne. Shows lemon citrus, hazelnut, litchi, fig. Still has intense spice, Absolute Citrus Vodka as well. If it wasn't for the yeast, it would be still as I remember. Nice spice and florals....but the fruit has dried I'm afraid. Not as tasty as 4 or 5 years ago. But still, for 10 year old Domestic Viognier....not bad! I can see French wine lovers liking this though. I need to check out some of Arrowood's recent V's.
