Love this stuff. Enjoyed this as much as the 2003. Great Hawaiian floral nose. Medium full bodied with pineapple and honey. Nice slightly tart finish that completes package nicely. To me, a much more balanced and prototypical viognier (at <$10) that competes favorably with the best that California has to offer (at up to $30). (We'll leave the Koonsgaard out of that comparison.)

Pale straw color. Very fragrant nose of rose petals. Medium bodied, floral and orchard fruits. Great mid palate and nice, acidic finish. Everything you like in a big Viognier. Delightful. (Note: After careful storing, returned to the wine 22 hours later to find that it had turned sour.) (D6.5,F7; DeV)

Clear pale yellow; no bouquet to speak of; better on the palate - balanced with some fruit & alcohol which gives it reasonable structure. At £5.99 poor value compared to the Las Moras Viognier & Yalamba Viognier.

(Laurent Miquel Pere et Fils Viognier Nord Sud) Group's #5 (my #4) – 46 pts.; 1, 0, 2, 1 – light yellow color; sweet lemon, lemon jello nose, that changes over a half hour to a more floral, honeysuckle nose, like a Condrieu; sweet entry with oily texture, lemon and vanilla, like a Rhone white, tasty; medium finish 88+ pts. ( 100% Viognier, $15)

Big, thick, viognier, loads of sweet oak - voluptuous. I can imagine cognoscenti being sniffy about this, but tonight it hit the spot for us.
