This normally worries me as bottles of this origin usually turn out to be overly sweet fruit bombs. We are talking Argentinian Malbec so the core of fruit is quite dense and sweet but the nose indicates deep black fruit, smoke and a lively zing. Admittedly the palate is a bit sweet but compensated by some solid tannin and a dose of acid. Quite explosive and possess a good bit of interest. Worth the $18 price tag.
