  For my taste, this has come around and was quite enjoyable right away. This Barolo successfully combines the aromatic intensity of Burgundy with the long caressing finish from Nebbiolo’s greater tannic structure. The nose shows the typical red fruit, roses, and tar notes, with good richness but not the bulky oakiness of some modernists. I could see more aging but no harm to open now.

  Big, dark, rich Barolo. Decanted around an hour and needed more time. Started out very tight and opened up nicely over a couple hours. Great Barolo given the warm vintage. Hold for a couple years or give a 2 hour decant

  An hour decant. Probably needed more. Great aroma, fine acidity and nice tannins. Very enjoyable.
