  My first Waugh Cellars wine which was a gift; although it was clearly a new world chardonnay right out of the glass, the balance was refreshing for a change with very little oak and not a hint of MF; it was softer around the edges than many RR chardonnays; more over ripe pear and melon than most. I will keep an eye out for Waugh wines.
