drinking wonderfully. Mature burgundy, rounded velveteen tannins, cherry fruit flavors, integrated with moderate complexity. Will Californian Pinots mature to this level?

This wine is drinking beautifully. Full nose with barnyard aromas that would likely improve with decanting. Great depth and finish, sufficient tannins to give it another 5-6 years well cellared. I am so happy to have more of these in my cellar!

Another PURPLE_WIML joint tasting note. Purchased from a restaurant wine list for $54.00 per 750ml bottle. No note on the alcohol. Tasted March 5, 2005. Opened and served immediately in passable, non-descript restaurant stems. Color was ruby to garnet, clear throughout. Simple, light nose of raspberry, cherries, plums, cloves and flowers. Light to medium bodied palate of raspberries, cherries and black berries. Started showing a little metal on the finished after being open for about 30 minutes. Drink over the next 3-4 years. Probably an acceptable value if purchased at retail.
