Slight brown colouration. Leathery nose. Obvious sweet scents too. Surprisingly fruity on the palate. Secondary flavours. Full mouth feel. Smooth integrated tannins. Very balanced overall. Long finish. Amazing for a 46 year old village wine! (Au Dessus des Malconsorts was only elevated to 1er cru in 1988) Very impressed!
NB: This is a Au Dessus des Malconsorts. Not a Aux Malconsorts.
