No filtering seems to have left this deep, dark and impenetrable but with the oddest neon glow kind of like Yellow Tail. But certainly not the taste of Yellow Tail. This is intense, backward, herbal, and rustic. I didn't get the booziness that others have noticed, and it paired very well with White Stilton stuffed pork chop that also had a lot of basil and parsley in it.
A lovely blend of spice blackberry and garrigue. Classic style with well-integrated tannins. Took it out of the cellar after two years, decanted, and left it for an hour. Simply delicious. My wife was pouring the drips out of the decanter.
Decanted about an hour, heat and high alcohol are obvious but they do balance out quite well. Tannins are still sharp, I could see this aging well for few more years. Quite Aromatic, but the heat over shadows the fruit.
