  • We were enjoying a Les Freres Marchand 20 Cheese Dinner at home with friends when we sipped this wine. We love Gagliole we have had great Pecchia in the past and we were thoroughly disappointed with this bottle. Man, it really sucks yucky-pooh when you prepare a bottle properly, breathe sufficiently (even try to coax it back to life by decanting) and then toss it down the drain! Over-abundance of alcohol and barrel (not corked) on the nose with some burnt ripe fruits and absolutely no tannins. Out of balance! She sashayed into the room with style, elegantly dressed, looking luvly and then belched out a song lacking in all things good.

  • We sipped last year after trying at the estate. AWESOME! A winner. Buy to sip...sadly, not something in which to invest. Yummy

  • somebody must be the first one... it is the top vintage at Gagliole and is not produced every year (2007, next one is 2010). It comes in as Tuscany at a top level, mostly Sangiovese with some Merlot - very smooth for drinking. We just had it to a Lasagne and it was a perfect fit!
