Very light red fruit. Body comes with some air - maybe an hour or so, but even so it’s not a big wine. It could have a little more precision and nuance, but this is v good for a village wine, and v enjoyable overall.

Very polished with bright, sappy red fruits accented by a bit of barrel spice. Good length. Comes off more impressive than a village wine, this can be enjoyed now with a brief decant.

Entry Level 2010 Burgundy from Benjamin Leroux (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Light ruby, not crystal clarity. Nose that is all earth and herbs. Light weight, downplayed fruit, good acidity, no discernible wood. Expensive for a village Nuits but good. Not quite as focused as the 3 other Leroux wines that were poured.

Needs a little air as it’s quite tight / almost acidic when popped. But more balance and fruit comes with a little time. Light.
