(12.7%) 66% Syrah, 33% Mourvedre – No saignée here as this one is instead made by directly pressing red grapes like a white wine. Fleshy, fruity and vibrant from the get go with a salty, mineral backbone which is followed by a smooth acidity and crunchy tannins that lead to the dry finish Hank promises. Versatile and ready to pair with nearly any summer meal. Not inexpensive but certainly represents a nice value at ~$18. That said I am likely more talking to myself as this one is all but gone by now…
Wine Geek Notes: 90 cases made, Fermented with native yeast, Twist-off, Bottled unfined and unfiltered

blend of syrah and mourvedre, 12.7% - appears darker color, red watermelon, smell dark, just faint suggestion of funk, great interesting nose, wet moss, taste richness and resilience, great fruit, lots of muddle element to the fruit, not sweet but the rich center to this wine is amazing, the uncrisp amazing rose, fantastic texture and tangy center

Went very well lemon vinegarette with a splash of rose added in. Paired with simple green salad,, sautéed cherry tomatoes with parsley, and sardines. Very nice.
