this hit the nostrils with floral perfumes and dried cherries, shows structure and class, remains light, lively acid carries a tune of red berries, spices, mineral and cherry pie on the palate, tart but refreshing and food-friendly
A lively, dark red color that is quite transparent. A simply delicous, earthy and savoury nose of sweet red cherries, strawberry and roses, with hints of funk and mushrooms. Very expressive, very authentic - the clarity of the fruit is just amazing! On the palate mouthfilling with good weight, yet all about purity, structure and freshness. Bursting with bright, ripe red fruit while possessing only a gentle touch of oak. Plenty tannin, but of the ripe and fine-grained sort. Quite velvety and very much a balanced effort, though on the finish the fruit gets a bit thinner. Fairly serious for 17 €.
Had at Burgundy tasting. Excellent. 91-92. beautifully balanced and quite elegant. Overall, medium to big tannins. Not overly fruity, with supporting mineral base. Medium acidity. Medium to large mouth feel. Long finish. Will be amazing in 4+ years, but will open one in a year or so.
