  • More advanced in color than three years ago by quite a bit. MARZIPAN, LEMON CURD, AND NUTTY ON THE NOSE. STIL LON THE PALATE GREATLY TEXTURED, WITH A VERY MATURE FLAVOR PROFILE. MORE NUTTINESS, LEMON, AND FINE MINERALITY. THIS IS GETTING TIRED, but still very good.. 89pts.

  • A great surprise...
A beautiful jewel like medium golden color and with big legs. The nose was full of lemon curd, orange rind, butterscotch, vanilla and acacia flowers. It grew and grew over several hours. Full bodied, impeccably balanced, and at peak now. Again great texture (a recurring them with the night's wines), Well integrated toast, hazelnuts, and a hint of botrytis that completed the wine. CB called a little quinine on the finish. Good call. Long fabulous finish on an underrated wine. 96pts.
