  • This shows gorgeous fruit on nose and palate with a touch of tar and licorice; very caressing silky texture; nice notes of autumnal sous bois and funk, just going solidly tertiary but loads of life ahead. Faiveley nailed it in ‘93 as shown here and in a ‘93 Charmes I loved 5 years back. 94+

  • PnP. ABV 13%. First of the case sourced from secondary market few years ago. Good mixed of dark soils and flowers on the nose. Clean and expressive nose, wide open now. Impressive from get-go. Tannins mostly softened, good structure and length, vibrant acidity but nothing excessive so well known for this vintage. Finished with attractive spices and old barrel notes. Pretty much in its prime now with years to go, another wonderful ‘93 Red Burgundy. Still the reference vintage for me in that decade. More round, dense, and complex on the 2nd day, interesting.

  • Nose: dried leaves, rose petals, truffles, blueberries, black tea
Notes: I was pleasantly surprised by this Latricieres Chambertin, a wine that surpassed my expectations with its aromatic complexity and vibrant presence. The nose was exceptionally intricate, showcasing a diverse spectrum of scents that can only be found in well-aged vintages in great condition. While the wine carried the signs of age, it retained an energetic quality that lingered for a remarkable three hours. As someone who has had unpleasant experiences with Faiveley in the past, I was delighted by the new dimension that this wine revealed. It displayed a refined beauty that was impeccably balanced, harmonizing the strength of a mature flavor profile with the tireless zeal of a younger vintage. I am confident that this wine will continue to drink exceptionally well over the next five years.

  • Light on its feet, pretty, and very enjoyable.

  • Ginger flower, dried cherry, cinnamon and red fruit on the nose. The palate has opened up after an hour of air. It shows very good core fruit. Certainly grand cru weight and depth. It is a very elegant Gevrey GC. 92-93
