The dark fruit, earth and bit of rhubarb nose doesn't lead you to expect the bight fruit and cherry flavors. This was decanted for about 1 1/2 hours and while it wasn't tight to start with it continued to open up and cherry and cola flavors became more prevalent. The flavors are bright and clean. I'm sure there is a Shea vineyard taste profile, but I'm not sure of what it would be. But this is a lovely wine with a long, spicy, floral finish and does Shea vineyard proud. And Alexana too, after all, they made it.
Garnet, brick with med-lite viscosity in the glass. Flowers, strawberry pie, vanilla and cedar on the nose. Medium body with round, ripe cherry, tart grenadine and wet minerals. Good fruit and supple mouthfeel are marred by oak influence. Medium finish.
