Just barely OK. Most fruit and complex spices have faded and there is a slight acidic bite that shortens the finish. There is some dark berry and spice flavors that refused to grow in the glass. Last sips where quite thin and a slight sourness emerged. Wish I'd had it 3-4 years ago. This was srew-cap so I can't help but feel the lack of breathing made it age awkwardly and that's why the soft, "aged" flavors that should also be there were absent.
Unscrewed and left open for about 2 hours. Showing gorgeous ripe red berry and spice aromas, some hints of smoky meat, saddle leather, and campfire. On the palate it's still young and somewhat disjointed but there's a sense of greatness lurking in the bottle. I think this wine needs several more years to integrate and mellow, and then it'll be an incredible wine.
