  • Drank June 2017. Ripe stone fruit, good acidity, medium to full bodies. Drank better the second day it way open. (Rubber cork in fridge)

  • Oh my--loads of acid and hints of green apple! This is really a tasty white that I purchased some time back for the keen price of $18. Pale straw in color with a bright and fresh flavor that is pretty balanced against some bacing acidity.

Now a couple hours later and with a dinner of roasted halibut, the wine was just smashing! It has rounded out in the glass and taken on a more oily/buttery character. The acidity has mellowed leaving a more balanced glass of wine. Great balance with the fish and an easy wine to look for in subsequent vintages.

  • Quite surprisingly good for what it is. Good bright fresh straw color; nose is cool with a light touch of butter and grilled nuts, much more prominent is a white pepper and nutmeg note. Palate is brisk, mineral and still fresh fruit driven. A very distinctive and stony last half, perhaps s touch rustic, but I find it very appealing. This was a fine match for seared tuna with a black olive, pastis and orange zest tapenade and a salad of fresh corn and shaved fennel. One of many 2001s that Vineyard Brands chose to dump in the U.S. retail market at very low cost and very fine drinking indeed for under $15 a bottle. JUST SAY NO TO "POINTS."

  • Table & Vine Burgundy Tasting Tutored By Clive Coates. Straw yellow. Buttery oak on the nose. Bright acidity. A bit hot. Nice finish. Overall, an elegant but simple wine.
