Very good wine. Still structured with depth of fruit and noticeable coffee and toasted notes and lots of tannins (mostly wood). Needs a solid 30mins in the glass to open up- when mixture of dark and red fruit. After further air a very clear violet note shows. This needs a couple more years but there is a touch too much wood for me. Very good but could have been even better. Ideally hold to 2026. 95pts

From a perfectly stored bottle. Dark fruits, raspberry, smokey, tobacco earth and ash. Mature tertiary leather and tobacco leaf with a touch of brambles. Touches of sweeter violet. Flint. Good acidity. Not light and dainty rather full bodied. But very good structure and lasts/develops well. Really like the smokey tobacco note.

The bellenum collection can be hit and miss, for me this bottling is one of the hits. Showing very nice now, developed red fruit, good sense of terroir, decent depth and concentration, great acidity, mostly resolved tannin, moderate complexity. Probably has some time still to fully resolve tannin and maybe develop more tertiary notes but great now. Good buy for CDLR

Mildly corked and so the wine was flat and uninteresting.

Dark in color and loaded with dark fruit. Holding up well. Brambly/herbacious midpalate after a decant. Nice but certainly not compelling.
