Popped and poured. Intriguing slate/pear aroma. Rich flavors of pear, spice. Pear, petrol, and spice in the finish. Rich, deep, some complexity, slight sweetness, excellent staying power, excellent value. Probably drinking at its peak.
I love the Causse Marines wines, I don't know why I don't buy more of them.

From 75cl. Nobody at the table knew quite what to make of this. We all flunked on identifying the varietal. Dry it is, aromatic too, some minerality, fat enough even to cope with foie gras and smoked eel. Good dry regional white wine. I might just have enjoyed it more were it not for the horribly coy "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain"-style label design. 84-86P(?)

Similar to the previous bottle. But it took much longer to open and after forgetting about it in the fridge for a few days, it was at its best 5 days later.

So delicious, as usual. Lovely nose with a smoky volcanic minerality (reminds me of some northern Italian) with pear and a hint of honey. Spices. There's also a refreshing sensation which is like fresh water on pebble. No heaviness. A really good wine.

12,5% d'alcool.
