Note: I use the recommended scale, so 85 represents a very good wine.
Nothing lasts forever, including this bottle. Although not flawed or turned, it was clearly past prime, and I prefer my white wines with some age on them.
Oh well.

I wanted to like this wine much much more than I actually did. I mean cellaring a 1er cru for 10+ years (well maybe only 9 but you get the idea) you are hoping for something magical, something special, something memorable. Instead I opened a nice bottle of a lemony, somewhat mineral, hint of varnish, medium yellow wine that was certainly enjoyable but worth the wait? NW (no way). If you are blessed with more wine than you can drink and need certain bottles that you can store and forget for long periods of time (I know several "serious" collectors who fall into this category) then this is a safe choice to push your cellar sideways. But otherwise.....

Ravinia at Home (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Good nose shows floral, apple and earth. Palate a bit more earth. Better a year or three ago.
