Opened up this baby to celebrate 10 years of marriage. Worth the wait, but will drink well for many years. Notes of plum and mulberry. Silky smooth tannins. Enjoy, fellow drinkers!

Deep blood red, burgundy colour . Smooth ripe blackcurrant and tar spice fragrance. Silky smooth, fleshy texture, soft tannins but good acidity and an intense finish. Lovely blackcurrant and sweet licorice spice, fruitcake , tar spice, a little earthy development. Lush, smooth mouthfeel, ready for drinking .

Decanted at 4pm and served at 8pm. A big nose with flamboyant black currant, oak, vanilla and caramel. Palate was deep, extracted and powerful but also elegant at the same time. Still way too young but lots of potential.

Took my staff and partners out for Christmas dinner and the restaurant required a $3,000 minimum spend to open for the night. Ok. We hit $2,250 after Champagne, oysters, three courses and accompanying wines and there was a bottle of Hill of Grace on the list at $750. Why not? While not normally a fan of Australian Shiraz this really was fantastic. Huge and complex nose + refined palate that invited, demanded, a second glass. Very smooth. Result: several people acquired a completely new perspective on wine that evening.
Very pronounced nose. Herbal tea (Chinese herbs and mint), sweet notes like vanilla, chocolate, loads of fruits; Very upfront and forward. Basically in your face. A concentrated baby with long finish. M+ a/c. For me it's too early to drink. It will be better with time.
