The bottle was opened 4 hours prior to dinner. The nose was fruit and mocha. The palate was berries, plums, figs, tobacco and coffee with a touch of sandalwood that came out on the long finish. A really nice bottle of wine.

Enjoyed this bottle alongside '13 Peter Michael Les Pavots and '10 O’Shaugnessy Mt.Veeder. I’ve had the pleasure if drinking a fair number of Pahlmeyers over the years and I must say that the one we had last night ranks among the very best. Wonderful balance of bright red fruit, acidity and tannins. Served with Beef Bourguignon. My WOTN.

Absolutely delicious! Plenty of red and black fruit supported by great freshness and fine ripe still grippy tannins. Medium to full bodied. Medium plus length, straightforward. Drinking now, will improve over the next decade.

PnP. Needed 30 min to open up. Nose of plum sauce, cherries, figs, creme de cassis, licorice, pipe tobacco, cola. Palate is not as opulent as some other vintages but still has good black fruit, cola, mocha, with tame acidity and fine tannins. Finish is medium. Pretty good wine but there are better wines at this price point. I don't think it will improve but will keep few more years

Delicious after an hour of decanting. Complex. Old wirld style with minerals, chocolate, berries, with the perfect balance of tannins.
