Best bottle of Turley Zin to date. Drinking very well now. Garnet colored, faint fruit on the nose. Full bodied with blackberry, anise, plum, spice to taste, all nicely integrated. Low acidity. Wish I had more!
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis), petrol and medium toast. It tastes like blackberry, blueberry, cherry, plum, medium toast, mineral, leather and oak. The body is full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.
It has been two years since I tried a bottle, we poured through a soiree, dark fruit on the nose, dark berries, olive and spice on the palate, a long smooth finish. My guests liked this better than the Saxum Paderewski which followed.
