  • Fully mature with notes of spice, blackcurrant and menthol. Although a big wine all the worst excesses of over-rich fruit and over-oaking have been tamed by the passage of time and now it is smooth & mellow, with the various constituents nicely integrated and masking the weight of alcohol, then going on to develop a long and lingering fine finish. To be honest I am not a huge fan of Chilean wine but I found this to be an exceptional bottle. Enjoyed with a Chilli con carne and found this to be a surprisingly good match. CHP 91 points
