Opened two hours prior to drinking. Very pretty nose of red fruit, herbs, spice, and some wild animal Mourvedre notes. This is simultaneously dark/rich while coming across as light on its feet and quite elegant - a neat trick. Fruit, herbs, a bit of bramble, and peppery spice on the palate. Plenty of tannin and good acidity. A bit left for the next day was more harsh and tannic.
2 hour decant. Interesting nose of rich fruit, herbs, and florals. Very rich, sweet raspberry and blackberry fruit. Quite "clean" fruit that does not speak to the Mourvedre (little funk or animal quality). Rich, big wine, but not over-the-top. Fairly young, with life ahead. 90-91
