  Woodinville Tasting w/jrockman & JerryL: My favorite of the tasting flight (this was echoed by one of the other tasters). Very tart on the palate - get black pepper, hints of berries, tannic on the finish. Too young to drink now - would give it at least another 5 years (and wouldn't be surprised if it held up for 10-15).

  Very nice, if not as great as past vintages. As usual with Januik, a good amount of oak, a bit more than I like, but integrated nicely.

  Deep purple. Smoke and tar on nose with black fruit coming through. On palate, fruit is tightly controlled with lots of pepper on back end. Long, long finish
