A plush cabernet with lots of cassis and boysenberry, some coffee and earth as it opens up. The fruit is slick and alluring, but I'm not getting a whole lot of complexity. Tannins have resolved and give way gently. An enjoyable wine no doubt, just not sure I would pay however much this retails for. It's a little too... predictable. Don't see this developing much further.

Very nice Gemstone, one of the better ones I've had. Notes of blue and red fruit, licorice and dust. This took about 1.5 hours to open but when it did there was lots of velvet, low tennis, and a long finish. Some earth and early heat (that burned off). Glad I kept this bottle for the extra two years.

Good typical Napa Cab. Nothing super special though, somewhat linear. Drink now

Still not as great of a wine as I had hoped; especially for 2010. Blue and black fruit just never opened up after 1.5 hours of decant. Mild finish..

Drinking well. This wine has nice flavors and plenty of velvety plushness in the mouthfeel. Popped and poured and didn't take notes...
