Initially a bit tight but opened up nicely. Elegant, restrained and nicely structured. Loved the full bodied creaminess on the palate. Long smooth finish. Was just as good or better the next day from the fridge - this wine has some years to go.
The first of 2 'Norman Hardie' wines this evening, and we were incredibly impressed, I was skeptical in the sense that why is some guy getting Niagara fruit to make Chard in Prince Edward County, but regardless this was one of the best Ontario Chards we've had, it was outstanding - Gold, full bodied with a nose of peach, pear, apple, pine, caramel, butterscotch and vanilla, very well structured with years to go, sweet on the palate with terrific length, awesome! (92 Points).
