Still delicious !! Especially considering this was Merry's inexpensive blend !! Perfect cork after over a dozen years in the bottle, easily removed. Dark ruby colored with minor oxidation and medium clarity. Consumed over two days. It held up well on the second day. This was the last bottle of the vintage in my cellar. At or just past peak.

Decanted one hour from magnum. This was worth waiting for and is at a magnificent point in its development now. I purchased quite a lot of this one upon release and have been checking on its development over the years. It’s evolution was not always smooth, and it was not always so pleasant to drink. I wish I had held them all this long as it is so great right now. My general thinking on Merry Edwards is that they need 8 years to really find themselves and are built for the long haul beyond that. This wine has the legs to go the distance.

nice fruit in the nose and mouth - a bit of clove in the flavor and finish. dark putlple color with no browning on the edges seems like should improve over the next 3-5 years

A slightly heavier bodied pinot. Red fruit, lime, faint pipeapple, and red earth on the nose. Smooth leather, bold red fruit, and vanilla on the palate, but finish is long and rusty! Very pleasant Pinot. Need to order a case now :). This is like driving a rusty old Porsche on a German autobahn on 1st gear!.

Drinking great now. Creamy sweet nose. Palate is packed with fruit but well balanced, the ripe fruit not cloying imo.
