BC (Canada) retrospective (Sharon & Guy's): Clear dark core with some slight bricking on the edge ( moderate intensity) - still youthful but showing some maturity. Clean nose of plum and oak of moderate intensity. Dry with mod+ acid, moderate to full body, moderate alcohol and tannin. Appealing flavours of plum and other dark fruit with slashes of oak. The oak carries on into the moderate length finish. Very, very good and well made wine. Maturing flavours - it could go longer (5 years or so) but is drinking well now..

Cellared for just over two years, this has a bit of sediment. Decanting recommended.
Decanted and poured a glass immediately. Color very dark, almost black, with red at the rim.
Nose initially throwing all kinds of fruit. First blueberry, then cherry, then strawberry. Also showing pie crust, hints of floral and pencil lead. Swirling the glass brings out the red fruit and floral aspect. In the mouth the fruit is muted with plenty of oak and tannins. The nose is very enjoyable at this point.
30 minutes later, the wine still tannic. Flavors of coffee, smoke. Finish is long, tannic, showing a bit of heat.
This is a wonderful old-world style wine at this point. While this wine has plenty of tannin to carry it at least a few more years, I'm curious where this is headed in the decanter and glass.
This should sit at least a few more years. Seems it could go another 10 years on it's side!
Paired well with ribeye with caramelized onions and sauted mushrooms.

Full bodied. Still retains some nice structure. Needs at least an hour to open. Good fruit and toast. Soft tannins.
