Deep garnet with an brick orange rim. Medium legs with good viscosity. Cherries, cassis, tobacco and green peppercorns dominate the nose before some earthiness creeps into the end notes. On the palate, it has average texture and the robust nature of the wine unabashedly prevails. Spiciness is followed by an attack of acidity. This wine then finishes with some sweetness before moderate tannins round things out. A very youthful wine and great QPR.
