  my third bottle (tasted the first and second one in 2014 and 2019)
  
  still high-tone floral, showing much less dryness comparing previous bottles. the unique flavors of farmyard, Brett are faded, but projecting a more clean, new world like Pinot with less weight and richness on palate. Delicate and refined, should enjoy it with light seasoning dishes.

  Decided to do the Burgundy way and not decant the bottle to enjoy its evolution through the night.
  
  Comparing new world to Burgundy is a bit of a futile game but this wine brings me to Chambolle with its frangance and sweetness. Very concentrated and intense nose, one that is earthy, mushroom with hints of freshly cut charcuterie and yet it has a lovely perfume at the same time. Wonderful fleshy body that infuses grace and power, fine tannin with lovely acidity enveloping it. A very refined finish. A great match to go with a duck confit!
  
  Drink now to 5+ years.

  Fine sediment, primarily tartrate.
  Medium red, orange edge.
  Red fruits, primarily cherry.
  Fine long red fruited flavours. Good weight. Some brambly characters. For a Burgundian reference, premier cru Chambolle. It has that sweetness.
  Drinking well from the half and will hold 3 or so years.

  Exceptional showing for this Australian Pinot that IMO is easily the best of what the new world has to offer of this varietal. Punches well into the higher echelons of the cote de Nuit premier crus. The market value has gone through the roof but it all makes some kind of sense when you consider how crazy burgundy prices have become in recent years.

  Great BP Pinots have a beautiful sweet aroma that is unique. This wine has it. It is truly Burgundian in flavour and power. Chambolle is its reference, IMO. The sweetness leads into a wonderful depth of spicy red fruit. This is a half bottle. At 12 years it is drinking wonderfully and will do for many years.
  Flavours are red fruits - cherry, cranberry. Just a joy.
  Drinking very well but will be around a long time, even in a half bottle.
  The cork quality was pretty ordinary but it has done the job. Wine is 20% up the cork.
