Savory, complex, flavorful, and textured. Was there some whole cluster or was it just the McMinnville AVA in a cool vintage? If tasting blind I might’ve guessed Nuits St Georges 1er. Good, serious, rich, delicious.

In a glorious place, though could age further. Nice mix of freshness and decay. Black tea, forest floor, mushroom accompany red fruits and flowers. This vineyard is yet to disappoint.

This was a luscious Pinot Noir, with plenty of structure to back up delicious black cherry flavors. This wine still has years of life left in it and I expect will get even better over the next several years (if not longer). Oh, how I wish I had bought more of this wine, which was made by one of the Momtazi daughters, who was very young at the time (mid-20's?). We drank the wine with pork chops with a dried cherry and onion topping, quinoa and wild rice, and broccoli. It was a perfect accompaniment to the food.

Would have thought this came from France in a blind tasting. Reserved and slightly gamey. Tastes like it came from the earth. All good things. Tight red berries.
