Cranberry and black cherry give way to leather, coffee, toast, clove. There is a light dried flowers aroma hinting at bottle ageing, but the peak is not passed yet. Not exuberant, but it has a relaxed charm and a still alive palate, showing good acidity, velvet tannins and firm body. Ample and well balanced. Long finish of red fruit, toast and coffee.

Floral, slight cedar notes, cheese, strawberry, mineral notes. In the mouth slightly unripe strawberry, cheese/yoghurt notes, long, medium plus intensity acid lends juiciness. Hmm. Still quite youthful.

After an hour or so decant, this shows quite lush and perfectly ripe medium cherry fruit, hints of raspberry, touch of wood spice and some earthy tannins; somewhat high toned, with fairly strong acidity, but overall nicely balanced. A good drink, not particularly deep or complex, but delivers well at its price point.
Next night: a touch more structure has emerged, with hints of black tea tannins; palate has shifted to more black cherry and a bit of orange peel, with moderate but mouthwatering acidity.

Ultimo lunch time tasting (Ultimo wine centre (but now vintage cellars)): cherry, slight medicinal notes, cream, slight spice. In the mouth cherry over strawberries, juicy and spicy. Long but with slight bitterness on the finish and medium minus intensity non-intrusive tannin. Nice
